OVERVIEW:

 

This bulletin describes the procedure for an end user to change the Pandoras Box system’s IP address.


PROCEDURES:

 

            Step One:

Open the Windows Control Panel and select “Network and Sharing Center” from the listed items.


Step Two:

Select “Change adapter settings” from the upper-left corner of the window.


Step Three:

Double click on the network adapter to open it’s properties page, and highlight “Internet Protocol Version 4…”, then click the “Properties” button to open the “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties window.


Step Four:

Enter the desired static IP information, filling in the “Default Gateway” and “...DNS Server” IP information if internet connectivity is required. When finished, press the “OK” button and close any remaining properties / control panel windows.



NOTES:

 

For compatibility with other PB applications, when setting up network adapter connections, the first network adapter should be called “Lan”, the second “Lan2”, the third “Lan3” and so on.


To change the “default” network adapter that Microsoft Windows uses when starting applications, from the “Network Connections” Control Panel window, select “Advanced” then “Advanced Settings” from the Menu. Re-order the adapters as desired, placing the desired “default” adapter at the top of the list. Restart any network applications after adjusting this setting.
